Forward Sioux Falls held an investor briefing March 29 at the Holiday Inn City Centre in downtown Sioux Falls. Forward Sioux Falls representatives presented highlights from the past year, including 2016’s record $701.8 million in construction permit valuation, capping four consecutive years of record high totals. With population growth up by 5,000 people last year and job opportunities increasing, the region is showing excellent growth. Leaders also discussed current workforce development strategies and heard a report from Development Foundation president Slater Barr on activity in Foundation Park.
