The Lennox Independent – Ace Hardware opens new store in Lennox. The 9,000 square foot sales floor is located on Highway 17 with Sunshine Foods. The store employs 12-15 people.


The Lennox Independent – The City of Worthing will hold elections on April 11. Elections will be held for a 5-year term as mayor and a 3-year term on the city commission.


Sioux Valley News – The Carnegie Library in Canton has now been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Canton library was constructed in 1913 and has been listed on the registry as a significant local example of Neoclassical Architecture. 


Tea Weekly – Arctic Cat has announced a partnership with Tea business, Octane Ink, which will now be the OEM’s preferred supplier and the only one authorized to manufacture and sell custom wraps that include Arctic Cat branding and logos. 


Brandon Valley Challenger – The Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce announced that the Chamber will move from its current location – a city-owned building at 196 Pipestone Street – to the office space next to Edward Jones in Splitrock Square on Splitrock Boulevard.


Brandon Valley Challenger – Spartan Motors recently acquired Smeal Fire Apparatus Co. and is already looking to the Brandon facility to help improve production turnaround time of its emergency response vehicles. Spartan employs 270 people and can trace its history in Brandon back to 1985. 

Workforce Training: The Sioux Falls Advantage

There is better training for our workforce in Sioux Falls. A multitude of options are available to meet businesses' needs at the postsecondary level including city programs, state grants, technical training, and a new $50 million scholarship program for technical school students.
