The Lincoln and Minnehaha County Economic Development Associations combined 2016 Annual Meeting was held November 3 in the Starlite Room of the Holiday Inn City Centre, with a keynote address by recently-appointed Commissioner of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development Scott Stern. Led by Executive Director Nick Fosheim, the event focused on the development achievements of the past year in both counties and a combined annual report was distributed at the meeting.
Minnehaha County Economic Development Association President Mike Wendland and Lincoln County Economic Development Association President Eric Pauli each provided a report from their respective counties. Fosheim, executive director of both groups, addressed the growth recorded in rural communities during 2016 and the prospects for 2017.
