South Dakota – A Forbes Top-Ten Best State for Business

Forbes 11th annual Best States for Business list measures which states have the best business climates and are poised to succeed going forward.  Forbes ranked South Dakota No. 10. 


Thirty-seven states had real economic growth rates below 2% annually over the past five years. Only three states had growth over 3% since 2010. But Forbes said some states are “winning” thanks to low business costs, educated workforces and pro-business regulatory climates.


South Dakota led the nation with the No. 1 ranking for low business costs.
