Titan Machinery Inc. will break ground this year on a new dealership facility in Sioux Empire Development Park VII in northwest Sioux Falls. The new dealership location will take the place of two smaller existing Titan Machinery locations currently servicing the construction and agricultural equipment markets in and around the Sioux Falls area. Operations and employees from the two facilities will be consolidated into the new location once it is completed in 2017.
The new facility will be built on a 12-acre lot purchased from the Sioux Falls Development Foundation and will include a new 20,000 square foot building. According to Matt Leighton, store manager for the existing Titan Machinery Sioux Falls locations, the company has outgrown existing facilities in Sioux Falls. The new building will combine the construction and agricultural equipment operations into one larger, modern facility which will provide better parts, service, rental and sales support than what Titan has been able to do in their current facilities.
"With the announcement of our plans to build a new state-of-the-art facility in Sioux Falls, Titan Machinery reaffirms our commitment to invest in our business and facilities to provide the highest level of product support for our customers," explained Dave McCarthy, Titan's Region Manager. "The facility Titan Machinery is building in Sioux Falls will significantly enhance our parts and service capabilities and provide easier access for customers renting and purchasing equipment."
A groundbreaking ceremony is expected on the project before the end of August with construction scheduled for completion by the summer of 2017.
