Strategic priorities for 2019 chart exciting course

Coming off our sixth year of consecutive record-setting construction activity, Sioux Falls is poised to continue the region’s positive economic development course as we move into 2019.  The staff at the Sioux Falls Development Foundation has worked hard to develop a plan to continue the momentum in 2019 with a renewed focus on attraction, retention and expansion of both business and workforce. The Development Foundation’s strategic priorities include property tax and quality job growth, talent attraction and workforce development, and a renewed focus on brand and image enhancement.

Seven action steps planned in workforce development

In 2019, our key priority is to implement the seven areas of the Forward Sioux Falls Strategic Workforce Action Agenda for which the Sioux Falls Development Foundation is responsible. This includes Talent Attraction & Retention efforts to develop external marketing and incentive programs for targeted populations including early and mid-level career professionals and skilled technical talent.
