Nordica to expand warehouse space to site in Foundation Park

Nordica Warehouses, Inc. is developing a new 200,000 square foot warehouse facility in Foundation Park. The structure will be built on a 16 acre site, with an expected completion date of April 2019, and will feature 27 truck dock doors and 4 rail doors.

Remembering Curt Kuehn

Sioux Falls native and long-time Development Foundation board member, treasurer and chairman Curt Kuehn passed away recently after a lifetime of service to his community.  Curt joined The First National Bank in Sioux Falls in the 1950s, retiring as president of the bank in 1992. He served as chairman of the Sioux Falls Development Foundation board in 1985 and 1986 and was the recipient of the Spirit of Sioux Falls Award for his service to economic development in 1997. Above all, Curt was a gentleman who genuinely loved his hometown and worked to make it a better place for everyone.

WIN Summit draws professionals from across the state

The WIN in Workforce Summit, held at the Sioux Falls Convention Center August 23, brought South Dakotans together to discuss the state’s workforce development challenges. The event kicked off with a keynote luncheon featuring Steve Gilliland, followed by three hours of breakout sessions, with nine different workforce development workshops led by a dozen industry leaders.
