Groundbreakings illustrate economic diversity

Groundbreaking activities hosted by the Sioux Falls Development Foundation provide a window into the current state of growth in the Sioux Falls region—and the diversity of our growing economy. This year will see 15 SFDF hosted groundbreaking ceremonies—more than double last year’s total. Projects announced this year at groundbreaking ceremonies will carry through into next year’s building season and be the newest business operations of 2018.

Workforce development consultant visits Sioux Falls

J. Craig McAtee, executive director of the National Coalition of Advanced Technology Centers, spent four days in Sioux Falls in September, visiting with local education and business leaders. McAtee is a powerful national spokesperson for connecting education, especially rapidly-adapting technical education, with practical applications in manufacturing, as well as other industries throughout the nation.

Join us: SFDF annual meeting November 16

The Sioux Falls Development Foundation will hold its Annual Meeting at the Holiday Inn City Centre Thursday, November 16, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, with a brief business meeting beginning at 5:15 pm. The event will include the distribution of this year’s annual report of developments throughout our area.
