Avera groundbreaking kicks off $174 million in planned expansion

Avera Health broke ground August 22 on a new health campus at 69th Street and Louise Avenue, beginning what the health system calls “the largest building project in Sioux Falls’ history,” with $174 million in expansion projects.

Governor breaks ground for Gage Brothers plant in Sioux Falls

Gage Brothers Concrete Products, Inc. broke ground July 27 for a new $40 million production plant incorporating state-of-the-art technology rarely used in the manufacture of precast concrete in the United States. The Sioux Falls Development Foundation hosted the groundbreaking ceremony at the site of the new facility, 2800 North Bahnson Avenue, near Interstate 229 in northeast Sioux Falls.

SAB "pharm" under construction in Sioux Falls area

SAB Biotherapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company in which the Sioux Falls Development Foundation has an investment interest, is expanding operations in South Dakota with the construction of an 80-acre pharm underway in Lincoln County near Canton.

Diane Andresen to retire at year's end

Diane Andresen, who began her career with the Sioux Falls Development Foundation in 1981 as an administrative assistant, will retire at the end of December. Andresen currently serves as manager of membership and administrative services, handling accounting and office management for the organization she has served for over half its existence in Sioux Falls.
