Foundation Park marks first groundbreaking with Win Chill event

Chairman's Report: Small Business Week celebrates our strengths

Recently our nation celebrated Small Business Week, an annual recognition of the importance of small businesses to the U.S. economy. According to Census Bureau data, there are nearly six million employer firms in the U.S. Companies with fewer than 500 workers account for 99.7 percent of those businesses, and operations with less than 20 workers made up 89.6 percent. More than half of Americans either own or work for a small business, and those companies create about two out of every three new American jobs each year.
